I recently went to a dance held by Alex's school that was held on the Spirit of Boston. We sat with one of his classmates and his girlfriend and had a great time. I'll be honest; I judged a majority of girls on their dresses. Enough about other dresses though, let me tell you about mine.
I used B5882 and added pleats to the skirt with the white fabric that I used. I also used the white fabric for the shelf bust contrast. Let me tell you, I probably picked the two worst fabrics I could have chosen. I also got frustrated when it took me days to pin the hem of the skirt up so that I could sew the hem by hand. Knowing that it would be a little chilly on December 5th, I used my extra fabric(from a miscalculation when buying) to make a cape. I used the white fabric as the main fabric and the blue fabric as a lining so the velveteen texture was on the inside to keep me warm. At one point Alex offered me his jacket to wear so I wasn't cold and I refused because it would not coordinate with my very thoughtfully constructed ensemble.
